For public transportation (such as subway, train, tram systems, emergency services) the company will now also offer available radio systems that are based on the TETRA trunking technology from Rohill, The Netherlands.

The Vienna telecom equipment company focusses on TETRA radio communications technology for Trains. Previously, Train Radio systems from Kapsch were only equipped with the GSM-R technology.

Now, Kapsch CarrierCom has extended its range with train radio. For public transportation (such as subway, train, tram systems, emergency services) the company will also offer available radio systems that are based on the TETRA trunking technology (Terrestrial Trunked Radio), such as often used by many national and international by public safety organizations.

Kapsch will thereby cooperate with the Dutch manufacturer Rohill. The Dutch company will supply Kapsch solutions for public transport.

Kapsch has already equipped more than 70,00 miles with GSM-R technology and continues to be the world leader in this segment. GSM-R has established itself in recent years as the de facto standard.
