Codan Secures Multimillion Dollar Radio Communications Deal with The Royal Malaysian Police

Codan Radio Communications, a division of Codan Limited announced that it has partnered with the Royal Malaysian Police (Polis Diraja Malaysia – PDRM) as part of their communication modernisation program.

This agreement has seen the delivery of 444 Codan Patrol 2110M Manpacks to PDRM, facilitating the modernisation and secure enhancement of their existing communications network.

These manpacks purchased by PDRM are to further full-fill and strengthen their mandate and role in maintaining the country’s internal security. This is a recognition of Codan Radio Communications’ continuous effort in developing state of the art products for the security industry. Reliability and clarity of digital voice enabling technologies facilitates robust communications in the most challenging of circumstances.

This agreement was aided by Codan’s local manufacturing and in-country partner – Tactical Communications Sdn. Bhd, with their ground staff’s pre-assessment and ongoing support. This is pivotal to the contract’s success. Codan Radio Communications’ personalised in field support and training, enabled the Manpacks to fit to PDRM’s needs by understanding the nuanced stakes of the region with an industry high three-year warranty. This agreement and the manpack’s technical compliance within this market signifies the beginning of a co-operative and successful relationship between both the PDRM and Codan Radio Communications into the foreseeable future.
