Hytera recently introduced the MD625, a new user-friendly entry-level mobile radio that facilitates a smooth and simple transition from analog to digital radio.

The MD625 from Hytera is a new user-friendly entry-level mobile radio and is available now. This new radio does not only offer high performance and versatility, but it is also designed with convenience in mind. These attributes make the MD625 the perfect piece of kit for the commercial sector, including all types of transportation vehicles, in taxis and delivery vans or agricultural tractors.

The MD625 is also the ideal device to facilitate a smooth and simple transition from analog to digital radio. Thanks to the A&D Auto Detect feature, the new vehicle radio can distinguish between incoming analog and digital signals and automatically reacts in the correct mode. This makes it the perfect partner for mixed fleets, as you might find in logistics or transportation companies.

The robust and compact MD625 Tier II DMR is the latest addition to Hytera's fleet of DMR devices and, alongside the Hytera MD615, it slots in neatly below the existing mid-range and high-end radios of the MD655 and the MD785. The MD625 features a 1.5 inch LCD screen that displays incoming text messages as well as the names of channels, zones and calls. An optional external module can be fitted to the vehicle radio for GPS functionality, or can even be retrofitted for ultra flexibility. How the MD625 is installed in the vehicle is also flexible, since the control head can be separated from the unit via a cable, if preferred.

The MD625 also boasts exceptional audio quality and a long range and even supports Hytera's pseudo trunking technology. All this means increased radio capacity without additional costs or frequency licenses.

"The entry-level MD625 perfectly complements our portfolio of DMR vehicle devices. Thanks to the two new vehicle radios, the MD625 and MD615, we are now perfectly equipped to fulfill every possible customer requirement in this sector," says Frank Pauer, Deputy CSO of Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH, with confidence.
