Hytera Introduces Unique TETRA ATEX Radio

Hytera introduces the intrinsically safe TETRA handheld radio PT790 Ex during the 360° conference in Dubai. This ATEX radio is certified with the highest level of intrinsic safety.

According to Hytera, the new PT790 Ex is tailored to the specific needs of users e.g. in oil and gas industries, mining industries or fire brigades. Having the ATEX certification of highest grade, "ia", the radio can be used in areas which contain an explosive atmosphere of air and flammable gases, vapors or mists permanently (Zone 0).

Hytera_PT790_TETRA_ATEX_radioFurthermore, the new Hytera radio is protected against dust and moisture according to protection class IP67 and meets the US military standard MIL STD-810 F/G.

To ensure the highest safety at work the PT790 Ex includes man down and lone worker functionalities. The integrated GNSS module collects positioning data via GPS, GLONASS and Beidou and can transmit these data to the control center for further evaluations.

The PT790 Ex will be introduced in Dubai on 26th of April 2016 and will be launched in Europe during the Critical Communications World in Amsterdam, May 31st to June 2nd.
