Rotterdamse Elektrische Tram (RET), the main public transport operator in Rotterdam, selected Rohill’s TetraNode solution to replace their current MPT1327 radiocommunication system.

The new TETRA mobile radio system needs to be completed in the third quarter of 2016. The system needs to be future-proof and expandable and involves the design, construction and testing and the migration to the new mobile radio system.

The system will consist of a geo-redundant TetraNode eXchange and 21 Base Station Sites, guaranteeing high availability, sufficient capacity and security, as well as optimal radio coverage.
In addition the system will consist of an integration to telephony, voice-data logging system, Radio User Assignment and CVL control.
