Implementation of digital communications for MPK Krakow began in 2008, with the installation of the TETRA system in the tunnel for the Krakow Fast Tram (KST).

Aksel company made the best offer for TETRA radios in proceedings before the Public Transport SA in Krakow. The contract was 100 units MTM800E Motorola two-way radios with accessories for TETRA communication system. Radios will be installed in vehicles of public transport in Krakow.

Implementation of digital communications for MPK Krakow began in 2008, the installation of the TETRA system in the tunnel dwukilometrowym Krakow Fast Tram (KST). The entire tunnel was covered with a network of radiating cables. Then, in 2010, as part of the modernization of analog MPT1327 trunking decided to install two base stations TetraNode Rohill company that provide coverage covers a significant part of the Cracow agglomeration. The TETRA system is fully integrated with analog connectivity enabling voice, data and positioning of public transport vehicles.

The current acquisition is a further step in the direction of migration from analogue to digital TETRA communication system.
