Over 700 volunteers with some paid staff make it an unforgettable walking week in July.

The International Four Day Marches Nijmegen, The Netherlands (or Vierdaagse) is the largest marching event in the world. It is organised every year in Nijmegen in mid-July as a means of promoting sport and exercise. Participants walk 30, 40 or 50 kilometers daily, and, on completion, receive a royally approved medal (Vierdaagsekruis).

It is almost impossible to organize this event without the efforts of hundreds of volunteers. Over 700 volunteers with some paid staff make it an unforgettable walking week in July.

Entropia Digital, the commercial TETRA network for Belgium and The Netherlands this year supports the marches event with MPT1327 technology and TETRA communications systems. Six MTP1327 (analogue) and two TETRA (digital) sites within the area of the city of Arnhem wil make sure communications are possible for about 150 users in oder to make sure the event runs smoothly.

The 95th Four Days Marches has started on Tuesday 19 July.
