i.safe MOBILE Celebrates 15 Years of Innovation in Mission-Critical Mobile Communication

German manufacturer marks its anniversary with international expansion, 'Made in Germany' production, and a world-first 450 MHz device milestone with 450connect

i.safe MOBILE GmbH, the German developer and manufacturer of mobile communication devices for hazardous and industrial environments and rnew TCCA member, has marked the 15th anniversary of its founding. The company, based in Lauda-Königshofen, Germany, was officially established on 14 September 2011.

Over the past fifteen years, i.safe MOBILE has built a track record of first-to-market innovations in mobile communication, ranging from 5G-enabled smartphones to mission-critical communication devices, while maintaining production under a "Made in Germany" approach. The company's growth has also included international expansion, with its own offices established in Singapore and Australia, alongside the acquisitions of ExLoc UK and ExLoc US. To accommodate its expanding workforce, i.safe MOBILE has moved into a new company building and has introduced a new company slogan, "Pioneering Excellence," reflecting its position within the market.

In a further milestone marking its anniversary year, i.safe MOBILE's IS541.1 smartphone has been added to the whitelist of 450connect GmbH for its nationwide 450 MHz mobile network. The addition makes the IS541.1 the world's first device with 450 MHz support approved for use in Zone 1/21 potentially explosive atmospheres, extending the device's applicability to Germany's 450 MHz network infrastructure for mission-critical and industrial communication.

The anniversary also coincides with i.safe MOBILE's official recognition as World Market Leader Champion 2026, underlining the company's established presence in the mobile communication sector for hazardous and industrial applications.
