Once operational, Line 3 is expected to have a daily ridership of 2.6 mio. people.

DAMM announced that their DAMM TetraFlex® TETRA radio communication solution has been selected for the new, prestigious state-of-the-art Pune Metro Rail Line 3 Project by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA). Having been awarded the contract for Line 1 & 2 of Maha Metro in 2020 means that DAMM has now increased its presence further in Pune city by receiving this prestigious contract.

The Pune Metro Rail Line 3 project, which will be built on a unique PPP model worth USD 1.2 Billion is the first Metro project in India under the PPP model after the 2017 New Metro Rail Policy. The consortium of TRIL Urban Transport (a Tata Group Company) and Siemens Project Ventures have been awarded the contract by PMRDA to develop the Metro corridor from Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar.

The completely elevated Line 3 will be owned by Pune Metro Rail Development Authority and commuters of this line will be benefited to get an interchange at Civil Court if they wish to move on Line 1 & 2 of Maha Metro. Once operational, Line 3 is expected to have a daily ridership of 2.6 mio. people.

Siemens has awarded DAMM with the contract to supply the TETRA radio communication system whose scope of work a.o. includes project management, turnkey electrification, signaling, and communications.

The TETRA Radio System will consist of a combination of DAMM’s unique multi-technology, IP65- BS422 Outdoor TETRA System, Consort Digital’s MCX ONE Dispatch Center and Train Radio Systems and Sepura TETRA end user devices. It will be used to provide radio communication for Line 3 covering nearly 23.3km consisting of 23 stations and a depot.

Minimal losses, great coverage, distributed architecture, flexible deployment, low maintenance
