Source: Verbinding

Sepura distributor Abiom will deliver 10.000 mobile TETRA  radios to the Dutch police, DJI (The National Agency of Correctional Institutions), Customs and the Dutch Police Academy, writes Verbinding.

Abiom, exclusive distributor and partner of Sepura in the Netherlands for public safety, will not only supply the radios for the vehicles but also for the use on  motorcycles and in open vessels. In addition, the company will supply hardware, software and services that are related to the mobile radios. This includes training and maintenance. The award is for a minimum of five years.

The mobile radios are not only taken by the police. The DJI, Customs and Police Academy participated in this tender as a, so called, special user. The standard radio for these services will be the Sepura SRG3900 mobile radio.

Abiom director Bas de Grood is proud that his company has been chosen to provide the radio equipment. "For many years, we are working in close contact with the police and their partners. We understand their need for emergency communications. The fact that we received this award after extended tests with our equipment, shows that both Abiom and the Police talk on the same level"
