ErvoCom to deliver TETRA Radio Communications for Qatar Rail
Together with its partner Thales, ErvoCom won two projects; Metro Doha and Lusail Light Rail Transit (LLRT) in Qatar.
Both projects received ErvoComs modern TRS2090 train communication system. For both projects Qatar Rail has chosen the to IP65 solution, that is certified by the German TÜV. According to ErvoCom, the TRS2090 TETRA radio fills the gap between old legacy analog systems and the expensive GSM-R system technology.
The delivery of the first lot of radio's is the end of August 2016. In 2016/ 2017, the remaining lots will be delivered.
Doha Metro will receive 75 trains from Japan by Mitsubishi and Kinki Sharyo for driverless operation.The LLRT is equipped with 35 new Citadis trains from Alstom for four new lines.
