The German PMeV provides impetus for a secure and reliable mobile digital future by introducing six specific demands into the political debate, which it considers to be urgent during the coming legislative period. The aim is to create future-proof framework conditions in the area of secure communication for authorities and companies

Dedicated broadband network for BOS and standardization of control centers

The German authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS) need their own dedicated broadband network. This is the only way for the BOS to keep up with the rapid developments in the digital world and to guarantee internal security in the future with the help of powerful communication tools.

Accordng to the PMeV, A uniform connection of the control centers to an MCx broadband network (4G / 5G) is required for the nationwide use of data and video services. In order for these interfaces to meet the requirements of users and consumers, they must contribute to not only their expertise but also a financial contribution to the standardization.

Promotion of 5G campus solutions and education and training programs

To strengthen the competitiveness of the German economy, funding programs must be set up that encourage potential user companies to invest in 5G campus networks. To date, too few market participants have made use of the potential of this future technology.

Incentive programs for further training measures, the needs-based adaptation of training regulations or joint information campaigns on career opportunities can alleviate the shortage of skilled workers in professional mobile communications.

Within the critical infrastructure environment in particular, excellently trained employees are compulsory for safety reasons.
