City of Henderson Selects Federal Engineering for CAD Replacement Consulting Services

Curated by: Gert Jan Wolf - Editor-in Chief for The Critical Communications Review

The City of Henderson, Kentucky has selected Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) to assess, procure, and implement an upgraded Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD) system.

“Over the past several years, the City has become aware that various components of our existing system are nearing the end of their manufacturer-supported lifecycles.” Explained Ms. Jordan Webb, Director of Henderson 911. “Having worked with Federal Engineering on several projects dating back to 2014, we have the utmost respect and confidence in them to provide us with the highest quality services."

FE will develop a detailed CAD replacement program that aligns with the operational needs of the City and includes the following tasks:

  • Data collection
  • Stakeholder interviews
  • Gap analysis
  • Requirements definition
  • ITB generation
  • Vendor proposal evaluations
  • Implementation support

Mr. Ronald F. Bosco, President & CEO of Federal Engineering said:

“FE has helped government agencies across the nation successfully replace multi-jurisdictional CAD, Mobile Data systems (MDS), Records Management Systems (RMS), and justice management systems (JMS). Since many of our consultants are former dispatchers, dispatch center managers, and first responders, we appreciate the need to obtain new public safety software systems that meet user needs, are cost-effective, and can be implemented with minimal risk. We look forward to, once again, serving the City as their trusted advisors.”
