NATO Awards Saab's Secure Voice Solution

Saabs solution for secure voice communication, TactiCall Multi-level Secure Voice, has been awarded in a defence innovation challenge arranged by NATO. It was in the category “NATO C4ISR and cyber capabilities” Saab took home the award.

Saab Danmark A/S participated in the challenge and won the prize. NATOs Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) hosted the challenge and on April 24 two representatives from Saab Denmark A/S, received the award at a ceremony during the NITEC17 conference that was held in Ottawa, Canada.

“Reliable naval and military communication is transferring from analogue to digital technology. To ensure resilience towards cyber-attacks and security breaches, cyber security and Secure Voice capabilities needs to be designed into the products from the very beginning. This award acknowledges the Secure Voice solution as a technology of critical importance to NATO for enhanced interoperability. This gives us a higher confidence that the technology in our system fulfils its task and it strengthens our position as one of the leading providers of secure integrated communication solutions for the military sector”, says Anders Kryhlmand, Saab Denmark A/S.

NATO arranges the challenge in order to accelerate transformational, state-of-the-art technology solutions from small business and academia in support of NATO C4ISR and cyber capabilities.
