SIMOCO appoints General Manager for Australasia Division

TTG company, Simoco Group has announced a senior staff appointment as part of its ambitious plans to drive international growth in the radio communications sector. Robert Meachem joins as the new General Manager for Simoco Australasia

Simoco Australasia has earned a reputation in the radio communications industry for exceeding expectations by ensuring quality, innovation, performance and service. Robert will build on its position in supporting the next growth phase and investment in developing a strong and effective network for delivering mobile radio solutions around the world.

“My new role presents a real challenge in improving the way we operate in Australasia,” said Robert Meachem, General Manager at Simoco Australasia. “I place significant value in developing people and seeing them succeed in business, which is why my leadership style will primarily focus on creating a high performing team culture. Creating a strategy will be paramount to our success so my first job will involve visiting all regional branches to meet key staff, customers and channel partners.”

Robert brings a wealth of experience in growing B2B businesses within technology and distribution sectors. He has been a senior executive at group general manager level with hands-on experience in national technology businesses across the commercial, enterprise and government sectors with 50 to 200+ people of $40m to $120m. He has held various positions within Hills Holdings Ltd, Pacific Communications and Direct Alarm Supplies over the last 14 years.

Simoco Australasia now incorporates product servicing, rentals, systems engineering, system integration, installation, site management and maintenance, spare parts and project consultation and project management under the one roof.

One of its most recent projects involved the supply of a Simoco Radio terminal and infrastructure solution to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) where it is now being used by the federal police, embassy staff and personnel at over 50 embassies worldwide.
