The World Police and Fire Games 2013 Uses Hytera DMR Technology for Its Radio Communications

During the event, Hytera and Patterson Electronics supplied 240 Hytera PD70X DMR hand portable radios, plus 25 service spares.

The World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) is the third largest international multi-sport event in the world and the largest ever sporting event to take place in Northern Ireland. This year, Hytera UK together with its Northern Ireland partner Patterson Electronics, were official sponsors and an official provider of professional communication solutions for the World Police & Fire Games 2013 held from 1st -10th August.

Over 10,000 competitors from more than 70 countries were participated in this event with over 3,600 volunteers helped deliver the Games. During the event, Hytera and Patterson Electronics supplied 240 Hytera PD70X DMR hand portable radios, plus 25 service spares. The radios were used by three specific groups at each of the 56 events being held at 41 venues throughout Northern Ireland, which are event management, medical and volunteers.
