Anritsu Company introduces two options based on the ETSI Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Tier 2 protocol.

Anritsu Company introduces two options that allow the industry leading LMR Master™ S412E to conduct digital modulation analysis and generation, and coverage mapping based on the ETSI Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Tier 2 protocol. The expanded testing capabilities provide engineers, technicians, and contractors responsible with the deployment, installation and maintenance of DMR radio systems - including MotoTRBO™ systems - with a single, lightweight, durable test solution that meets their ever-evolving testing requirements.

The modulation analysis option enables the LMR Master S412E to conduct highly accurate measurements on the transmission characteristics of DMR networks. The LMR Master S412E is the first instrument in its category to be able to test emerging narrowband signals, such as DMR, as well as broadband digital public safety systems. With the option, the analyzer can also generate DMR signals, due to the vector signal generator built into the LMR Master S412E. The analyzer is also capable of generating data-modulated signals in other formats, including P25 and NXDN.

Performing DMR coverage measurements are simple and straightforward with the option installed on the LMR Master S412E. The user simply connects a receive antenna and a GPS antenna to the handheld analyzer. The instrument automatically stores results, along with the GPS location. Traces of mapping data are automatically saved, and can be later recalled and viewed from the front panel of the LMR Master S412E.

The LMR Master S412E significantly reduces the number of tools field technicians and engineers need, thereby saving time and money while ensuring accuracy. It is the only battery-powered P25 test solution to provide cable and transmission measurements, a high-performance spectrum and interference analyzer, and P25/NXDN/DMR EVM and BER measurements at -115 dBm signal levels. Unlike other portable solutions, the analyzer offers the most extensive P25/NXDN/DMR test capability, including analysis of uplink and downlink control channel traffic and BER/EVM coverage mapping.

Utilizing the field-proven, compact, rugged design of the Anritsu Site Master™, the LMR Master S412E was developed with field applications in mind. The analyzer has a field-friendly battery that can be changed in just seconds to extend measurement time. A standard transmissive color display is viewable in direct sunlight and at wide viewing angles.

The LMR Master S412E has a delivery of 4 to 6 weeks ARO.
