Rotterdamse Elektrische Tram (RET), the main public transport operator in Rotterdam, has selected Rohill’s TetraNode solution to replace their current MPT1327 radio communication system.

The new TETRA system is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2016 and will comprise a geo-redundant TetraNode eXchange and 21 base station sites, guaranteeing high availability, sufficient capacity and security, as well as optimal radio coverage.

In addition the system will have integration to telephony, voice-data logging system, Radio User Assignment and CVL control.

RET operates 35 bus lines, 11 tram lines and five metro/light rail lines in Rotterdam and the surrounding municipalities.
