ASC, a leading global provider of innovative solutions to record, analyze and evaluate multimedia-based communications, today announced it has joined the TWISP application developer community at Airbus Defence and Space at the Gold level. Airbus Defence and Space (Airbus DS) is a division of Airbus Group formed by combining the business activities of Cassidian, Astrium and Airbus Military in January 2014. It is Europe’s number one defence and space enterprise, the second largest space business worldwide and among the top ten global defence enterprises.

TWISP facilitates the integration of third-party applications into TETRA networks provided by Airbus DS. As a Gold member, the highest TWISP level, ASC will receive intensive support for developing and thoroughly testing integration with the latest TCS API and recording through VoIP gateways.

Dr. Frank Schaffrath, CEO of ASC, said, “We are pleased to join TWISP at the Gold level so we can provide our public safety clients with sophisticated features available only through the latest TETRA networks from Airbus DS.  TWISP offers its members a wide range of services to facilitate the development process, and we look forward to working closely with program coordinators to ensure a closely integrated solution.”

Sophisticated communications recording helps public safety organizations accurately reconstruct and analyze emergency scenarios, and thus improve response times. TETRA, an interoperability standard for professional digital mobile radio communications, provides an essential capability for public safety organizations to interact using mobile equipment from multiple vendors.

ASC will showcase the results of its TWISP gold-level participation on May 27-29, 2014 at the 16th Annual Critical Communications World Exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand.

ASC offers integrated solutions for any TETRA network system in dispatch or command-and-control environments. The company provides these capabilities through software-as-a-service so organizations can select only the technology they require without any risk of obsolescence.
