Bahia State Public Safety Secretariat (Brazil) extends its TETRA network and purchases new TELTRONIC terminals

With this contract, Bahia State confirms its commitment to TETRA as the chosen technology for its secure communications

TELTRONIC Brazil has been contracted for the first stage of network migration to 380 MHz following the new law passed by Brazilian regulator, ANATEL. In addition, the Public Safety Secretariat has purchased 10 new base stations to increase coverage of the Salvador Metropolitan Region and a batch of brand-new terminals in the new frequency band.
 
With this contract, Bahia State confirms its commitment to TETRA as the chosen technology for its secure communications. Bahia was the first Brazilian state to roll out a network using this technology that has been operational since 2007.
