EuskoTren awarded Teltronic the contract for the "Implementation of TETRA System Trains Series 900 and EuskoTren Operations Centers"

Each train cabin will be equipped with an Onboard Teltronic TETRA System to communicate with wayside applications

The Public Trenbideak Eusko Basque Railways, Inc., hereinafter “EuskoTren”, has awarded Teltronic the supply of onboard TETRA Radio Systesm to be implemented in the Series 900 trains as well as the Operations Centre to allow communications between Euskotren operators and  trains drivers.

Teltronic will provideits well-proven Onboard Radio Terminals RTP-603, which support simultaneous TETRA voice and data and include a high level of redundancies. Each train cabin will be equipped with an Onboard Teltronic TETRA System to communicate with wayside applications.
Also, Teltronic will provide the Control Center for the Operations Center, which will allow voice communications and data exchanges with the new train units (EMU series 900) described above, with the operators of EuskoTren. The switching matrix of the Control Center will allow direct connection to the Itelazpi TETRA network.

Through the agreement signed between the Railway Infrastructure Manager, ETS, and the Public Basque Government Communications TETRA Service Provider, Itelazpi, EuskoTren becomes a new user of the cutting-edge TETRA infrastructure Teltronic "NEBULA ®" for digital communications . With the award of this project, Teltronic notched a major new reference in the rail sector, to be added to the extensive track record of successful supplies.
