For the seventh year in a row, TELTRONIC invited Mexico’s top communications professionals to another edition of its popular TELTRONIC DAY

On February 22nd, TELTRONIC once again brought together the most important representatives from a diverse range of professional sectors, including public and private organizations for the seventh edition of TELTRONIC DAY in Mexico.

This year, TELTRONIC DAY returned to Mexico City and a new venue in the impressive Emperatriz Hall of the Marquis Reforma Hotel with over 110 delegates in attendance: a significant rise in relation to previous years, demonstrating the increased importance of TELTRONIC’s Mexican business. Among the audience at the event was Domingo Cobos Cardenas, Equipment, Infrastructure & Technology Sub-Director for the Puebla State Public Safety Ministry.

TELTRONIC’s country manager, Fidel Sepulveda, welcomed all the guests with a summary of the company’s past and current successes in Mexico. Fidel was followed by TELTRONIC’s Commercial Director, Cesar Roig Bermudez, who explained how TELTRONIC is differentiating itself from other professional mobile radio manufacturers and increasing its business in Mexico and other global markets by providing efficient, secure and flexible solutions based on TETRA technology.

Peter Clemons, TELTRONIC’s Director of Communications spoke about the main trends in the global market, where TETRA is dominant, having been sold in over 125 countries. TELTRONIC reigns in the Mexican and Latin American market with a TETRA market share above 50%. Having taken the audience through a number of successful TELTRONIC case studies in Latin America, there were important announcements regarding the first TETRA network to be installed in North America - for a large Canadian utility, BC Hydro by TELTRONIC’s North American subsidiary, PowerTrunk - and the nationwide Malaysian network being built together with Sapura that will be the largest TETRA deployment outside Europe. TELTRONIC is now definitely one of the industry leaders.

Following the break, key presentations dealing with the importance of security were given by the following Mexican experts: Miguel Angel Reyes Lopez, Sub-director of CERI (Centre for Emergencies & Rapid Response) of the Heroic City of Puebla; Jorge García Gutiérrez, Director of the Municipal Public Safety Planning Centre, Leon Municipality, Guanajuato and Edgar González Cruz, Executive Communications Director of the Federal District Public Safety Ministry. Johnny Lurquin, CYS Group’s General Director, spoke about the most recent developments and special applications available over TETRA technology, highlighting the data capacity of this global standard.

It is always an honour - in fact, a necessity - for TELTRONIC to organize this key annual event. The company invites all Mexican communications professionals to participate in the eighth edition of TELTRONIC DAY in February 2013.
