The C series are equipped with a waterproof keyboard & improved dust protection

TETRAtab recently introduced  the C-series tablet computer during the TETRA World congress in Budapest this year. The unique product enables the end user to use keyboard for filling in longer reports, administration tasks, sketching and database queries out in the field by using the TETRA network provided.

We found out that the computer optimal footprint has for outdoor usage in harsh environments. It is delivered in a a robust, lightweight hardened case and contains a waterproof keyboard and improved dust protection. TETRATab also claims that the device will cost a fraction of the cost for traditional computers, like the Toughbook form Panasonic and others. This is a great advantage as today many Public Safety end user organisations have limited budgets available to spend on new hardware equipment.

According to TETRAtab there are currently several projects running where the laptop computer is tested. One project at the UK police force and another trial in Finland.
