Kelvin Connect becomes part of Airwave Solutions

Mobile information provider Kelvin Connect becomes part of Airwave Solutions.

Airwave, provider of critical communications to the emergency services is delighted to announce the acquisition of Kelvin Connect (KC), developer of mobile data information systems, as part of its ongoing investment in critical communications for the emergency services.

Investing in Kelvin Connect demonstrates Airwave’s commitment to work with emergency services to deliver savings and efficiencies using mobile technology. This comes at a time when helping customers effectively deploy technology to help with budgetary challenges is crucial.

Kelvin Connect’s software provides frontline police officers with secure access to the Police National Computer, reducing the time spent filling out paperwork. KC works closely with its customers to increase the effectiveness of back office functions through the effective use of mobile data. In Scotland, KC software is deployed with Lothian and Borders Police and Strathclyde Police.

The company will provide mobile data and associated information management for Airwave; with responsibility for sales, development, testing and delivery and support. All KC staff remain within the Airwave group.
