Network management, training and maintenance included in scope of delivery

Cassidian has been commissioned by Berlin’s IT service centre to link Berlin State’s 28 control centres to the digital radio network of its public safety authorities and organisations (BOS) via two concentrators. This will make the control stations’ access to the digital radio network as cost-effective and manufacturer-independent as possible. A special feature of the solution is its high availability: should one of the concentrators fail, the linked-up control stations and Tetra groups are automatically re-routed via a second location to ensure almost uninterrupted operation.

Cassidian also provides a powerful network management system that permits efficient operation and gives a full overview of the operational status of all system components of the concentrator solution.

A comprehensive training concept familiarises users with the manifold possibilities of the new technology, enabling them to make optimum use of it during operational missions.

In addition, the customer is provided with an individual service and maintenance concept.

In the context of Germany’s nationwide setup of a digital radio network for public safety authorities and organisations (BOS), Berlin is the first federal state to commission such a concentrator solution.
