BK Technologies Appoints Industry Veteran James Teel to Lead New SaaS Solutions Business

BK Technologies Corporation (NYSE American: BKTI) announced the appointment of James Teel to lead the Company’s new software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions business unit.

Teel brings more than 30 years of experience in the wireless communications industry. From 2007 to 2021, he was with L3Harris Corporation where he held positions including Director of Product Line Management and Director of Business Development for the Public Safety & Professional Communications division, where he played a major role in launching their SaaS business.

James Teel previously spent six years at UT Starcom/Commworks/3Com as Senior Director, Business Development for the 3G Business Unit, and Director of Security Solutions for Mobile Connectivity. From 1987 to 2000, he held several positions at GE/Ericsson and was rapidly promoted from software engineer through roles of increasing responsibility in engineering management, product management and business development. He received a Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.
