SEE Telecom Delivers TETRA Radio Coverage in Turkmenistan

SEE supported the 5th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games as well as the new national airport with TETRA radio coverage.

The 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games was recently held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, from 17 to 27 September 2017.

All 45 member countries of the Olympic Council of Asia were invited to compete at these Games. A total of 21 sports were represented for the Indoor and Martial Arts Games: five Olympic sports (cycling, equestrian, taekwondo, weightlifting and wrestling), five Olympic sports contested only in non-Olympic formats (basketball, athletics, football, swimming and tennis) and eleven non-Olympic sports (bowling, chess, cue sports, dancesport, ju-jitsu, kickboxing, kurash, muaythai, sambo, belt wrestling and traditional wrestling).

After a 5-year period of radio design and engineering, SEE Telecom was chosen to provide the TETRA radio coverage system of the Olympic Complex as well as fro the new National Airport especially built for the Asian Games.

The system delivered and commissioned by SEE Telecom is an optical DAS including two Master stations (optical master units) and 28 optical remote slave stations. Each OMU (1 and 2) are equipped with 24 optical transceivers (RX/TX). OMU1 feeds 15 slave stations and OMU2 feeds 13 slave stations. Master stations and remote slave stations are connected together using optical fibers in star connection mode. A Monitoring system SEE AMCE is installed to control the global system.

A total of 32 TETRA carriers in 4 sub-bands 5 MHz are re-transmitted in 15 buildings and 1 airport.
