Motorola, recently held its three day Motorola Solutions Local Partner Event in Nigeria and said during a press briefing in Lagos, that the zeal exhibited by present and past governments will enhance Nigeria’s economy in a most profitable way.

Motorola Solutions Senior Sales Manager for the Africa region, Nicolas Coussinoux, commended positiively on the fast adoption rate of digital two-way communication devices by Nigerians. He said, that the company is widely embraced by most organisations and various governments, in the past forty years of Motorola’s business in Nigeria.

Coussinoux continued: “There is widespread recognition among leaders in most industries that the role of digital technology is rapidly shifting, from being a driver of marginal efficiency to an enabler of fundamental innovation and disruption. Whilst digital technologies are means for an innovation powered society, there’s a more fundamental role of these technologies in improving public safety".

Nigerian organizations are currently heavily investing in the transition from analogue radio communications into digital, with both DMR and TETRA networks throughout the country and its cities, including vertical markets such as the Oil and Gas industry in the Niger Delta and Abuja.
