Cork City Marathon use TETRA to coordinate Event
Communications was seamless and the event overseers were very happy with coverage in areas of known UHF blackspots.
Cork City Marathon soley use TETRA communications to man the event. Cork City Council , Cork City Fire , Civil Defence and volunteers from St John Ambulance, Irish Red Cross and Order of Malta came together with the use of a single event talk-group and GPS mapping application for the day.
Communications was seamless and the event overseers were very happy with coverage in areas of known UHF blackspots. Cork city marathon is a large scale event covering 26 miles with almost 10,000 entrants taking part and many many more spectators lining the route.
