Sporting goods manufacturer Nike has recently built a new distribution center in Ham, Belgium, near the existing logistics center in Laakdal. The expansion yielded five hundred new jobs and a radio contract for Entropia Digital.

Nike has already pointed that the company wanted to expand its business in Belgium between 2016 and 2020. During this period, Nike will create a significant number of new jobs, both for highly-qualified university students as for technicians and people without specific training.

When building the new site, Nike payed great attention to sustainable and effective business. Therefore effective (radio) communication between employees within the company plays an important role.

That is the reason for Nike, to opt for its radio communication, to use the TETRA radio communications network of Entropia Digital. The radios, which are going to be delivered by Flash Private Mobile Networks, will be used for communication between employees working in the security and in the logistics department.

For Entropia, it is already the third Nike site which will make use of their TETRA network. Earlier, the company delivered radio-communications on the sites that are located in Herentals and Laakdal.
