Rohill finalist International Critical Communications Awards 2016

Rohill, manufacturer of critical communication systems, has been nominated three times for the International Critical Communications Awards 2016 (previously TETRA Awards).

Rohill is a finalist in the categories “Best use of TETRA for Public Safety”, “Green Technology Award” and “Best Use of TETRA in Utilities” for the 2016 International Critical Communications Awards.

Rohill, sponsor of this year’s “Best Use of TETRA for Transport” award, has been nominated as a finalist in the category “Best use of TETRA for Public Safety” for the subject “Critical Communications for the Uruguay Ministry of Interior”. The network is relied on by 3,400 police officers, and handles more than 30,000 voice calls and more than 110,000 short data messages per day.

In the category “Green Technology Award” Rohill is nominated for its “TETRA Network Emulation”. Rohill has developed a highly scalable TetraNode Simulation (TNX-SIM) in order to validate the performance and reliability of the TetraNode solution. TNX-SIM delivers significant value in regard to energy savings.

In the category “Best use of TETRA for utilities” for the subject “Meralco communications powered by Rohill TetraNode”. Meralco powers more than 5.4 million customers with electricity in the Metro Manila region of the Philippines.

Beside this, the SALUS consortium, of which Rohill is part, is nominated in the category “Best Evolution to Future Broadband”. SALUS plays an important role to refine the standards and applications that are relevant to the future of PPDR broadband communications.
