Representatives of the Tivat firefighters team today received 17 portable radios and a mobile radio from the Austrian-Montenegrin company "Wireless Montenegro”.

Members of the Protection and Rescue department of the Municipality of Tivat today will finally benefit from the TETRA digital radio communication system. The signal of the TETRA system has already covered the entire Montenegrin coast and the central part of the state, and by the end of the year it will also cover the northern part of Montenegro.

Representatives of the Tivat firefighters team today received 17 portable radios and a mobile radio from the Austrian-Montenegrin company "Wireless Montenegro”. The handover was attended by the Mayor of Tivat Ivan Novosel.

According to Boris Camovici, sales manager of "Wireless Montenegro", TETRA provides voice communication within precisely defined groups of users. Each user normally works in a defined user group and if and when necessary, the dispatcher connects multiple groups into one common group and allows them to work together.

TETRA enables a secure connection without territorial limits, which means that the connection can be established, for example, between firefighters in the city of Tivat, Kotor and Budva.

The new TETRA digital radio system, compared to the previously used analogue system, provides better signal propagation, increased resistance to interference and a high degree of protection against eavesdropping.
