Jane Ellison, Battersea’s MP, has nominated Panorama Antennas in her constituency for “Made By Britain”, a nationwide showcase of British manufacturing today.

Panorama has been manufacturing RF antennas for more than sixty years and has its offices and factory in Wandsworth, Central London.
“Made by Britain” is a parliamentary project being run by a cross-party group of MPs known as the Associate Parliamentary Manufacturing Group (APMG). The project was launched on 6th July 2011 by Vince Cable, the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.

All 650 MPs have been asked to find something that is made in their own constituency. The product could be anything the only criteria is that it is designed or manufactured locally. Jane Ellison said: “The UK is the world’s 6th largest manufacturer but we need to support a manufacturing renaissance in Britain, and encouraging creativity and productivity in each and every constituency is critical to making this happen.”

Christopher Jesman of Panorama said: “Panorama’s success is grounded in its ability to consistently design and manufacture innovative, high quality products which contribute to the communications systems critical to the operations of governments, public safety organisations and businesses.”
The Panorama product will be featured in an interactive map on the Parliamentary Group’s website at www.policyconnect.org.uk/apmg/ and will be showcased in other projects the group is developing, including an exhibition in Parliament, over the next year.
