New Director as Representative for the German BDBOS Federal Networks

Effective July 1, 2020, Ines Fiedler took on the role of director as agent for the federal networks.

Until the end of 2019, the graduate science organizer was head of the IT Service Center Berlin (ITDZ Berlin), which is responsible for the central IT service provider of the State of Berlin. Fiedler is very familiar with the requirements for the IT infrastructure of public administration, because in the German capital she drove digitization for around 116,000 employees of the Senate administration and districts.

Ines Fiedler says of her new role at the federal agency: “The federal networks unite 45 government networks, which combine to link more than 300,000 federal employees on a highly available platform. I am extremely pleased to be able to further expand this strong infrastructure with my team as Director as Commissioner for the Federal Networks. Together with our partners, we will build an efficient information network for public administration that meets the high quality and security requirements of the federal, state and local authorities. "

BDBOS is the federal agency for public-safety digital radio in Germany taht operates the world's largest TETRA digital radio network.
