Motorola Solutions In-Car Video Solution Expanded for Prisoner Transport Vehicles in Lithuania
The installation includes forward-facing, interior cabin, and exterior rear cameras, providing full coverage of both the vehicle interior and its surroundings.
A further deployment of the Motorola Solutions M500 In-Car Video solution has been completed in Lithuania, supporting enhanced operational oversight for law enforcement prisoner transportation vehicles. The rollout was carried out in cooperation with a local systems integrator UAB Info-S and the Lithuania Police Service.
As part of the project, newly commissioned prisoner transport vehicles have been equipped with a comprehensive in-car video configuration. The installation includes forward-facing, interior cabin, and exterior rear cameras, providing full coverage of both the vehicle interior and its surroundings. This setup is designed to support accountability, safety, and evidentiary requirements during transport operations.
The deployment highlights the flexibility of the M500 In-Car Video system, which can be adapted to specific operational needs and vehicle types. In addition to capturing high-resolution video evidence, each camera operates with independent live-streaming capabilities, enabling real-time situational awareness for control rooms and operational staff.
From a third-party perspective, the project demonstrates the growing adoption of integrated video solutions within European public safety fleets, particularly for specialized use cases such as prisoner transport. The successful implementation in Lithuania underscores the role of close cooperation between technology providers, local integration partners, and law enforcement agencies in delivering reliable, mission-critical solutions.
The expansion of the M500 In-Car Video deployment reflects a continued focus on modernizing fleet technologies to improve transparency, officer safety, and operational effectiveness across public safety services.
