IRT Partners with Northrop Grumman on Tactical Incident Management System
Successfully piloted by the Los Angeles Police Department during several recent events including the BET Music Awards and the World Special Olympics, TIMS provides incident commanders unparalleled command and control information.
Incident Response Technologies, Inc. (IRT), a Denver-based company, has partnered with Northrop Grumman to develop the Tactical Incident Management System (TIMS). The new solution leverages IRT’s expertise in cloud-based incident response and management technology, enabling Northrop Grumman to provide its public safety customers with a state-of-the-art tool.
Northrop Grumman’s TIMS solution draws on IRT’s Rhodium™ Incident Management Suite – a cloud-based software that can be accessed via computers or mobile devices. Successfully piloted by the Los Angeles Police Department during several recent events including the BET Music Awards and the World Special Olympics, TIMS provides incident commanders unparalleled command and control information. Simplified planning, managing and tracking of events, and streamlined workflow and situational awareness during operational periods highlight the value of the new TIMS solution.
“We have an instrumental partner in IRT,” said Ed Sturms, Vice President and General Manager, Civil Division, Northrop Grumman. “The Rhodium™ Incident Management Suite has been a key component in providing an intuitive tactical management solution for the LAPD that meets their mission needs and enables the department to do their job better.”
“The ability to collaborate with Northrop Grumman, a global security leader, has been an excellent experience,” said Jarret Winkelman, IRT President. “The TIMS solution illustrates the substantial leap in incident management tools that continue to benefit public safety agencies in planning, managing and reporting for all types of events and incidents.”
TIMS leverages Rhodium’s robust IAP and pre-plan functionality to provide thorough personnel and asset information. Once an operation is activated, both personnel and assets can be continuously tracked across shifts. Real-time financial metrics can also be accessed to improve post event reporting.
