Koning & Hartman to deliver Kolibri Control Room Solution to Schiphol Group
Koning & Hartman will provide an integrated communications solution for 7 control centers plus 2 contingency facilities at Schiphol Airport.
These control centers, some of which are located in the security restricted area of Schiphol, perform mission-critical activities at Schiphol Airport such as Security Control, Alarm Central, Passenger Services and more. This integrated solution makes the handling of voice communication for employees, working within the control centers, safe, flexible and efficient.
"This is a great step towards a Digital Airport with a virtual airport control room. From this control room, all assets and passenger flows at airports are managed smartly and efficiently, "says Albert van Veen - CIO Schiphol Group.
The control room solution, is based on a Kolibri platform and MX-One (Aastra) telephony solution. Links with the various ST platforms are realized through the Kolibri incident reporting system. In cooperation with Kolibri, Koning & Hartman provides the required links between the various (existing) systems, such as radio communications, telephony and broadcasting, so that Schiphol Group will be able to use one integrated system which is extremely reliable and secure. Communication between the local management and information sharing can thus take place at a integral and efficient manner.
