Push-to-talk over cellular (PTToC) specialist reports growing dealer adoption as US expansion gathers pace
Mobile Tornado USA is gaining traction in the North American market following a well-received appearance at the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas, with dealers across the United States increasingly selecting the company's push-to-talk over cellular (PoC) platform for their professional communications requirements.
The company, which launched its US operations in November 2025, used IWCE 2026 as a platform to introduce its range of business-ready PoC devices to a broad audience of customers and channel partners. The product portfolio encompasses screenless, compact, rugged and vehicle-mounted devices, all purpose-built for professional use and available through Mobile Tornado USA's authorised partner network either for purchase or rental. Devices are supplied ready for immediate deployment, requiring no complex configuration.
Luke Wilkinson, CEO of Mobile Tornado, commented:
"The creation of Mobile Tornado USA marks a major milestone in our global expansion. Adoption of push-to-talk over cellular in the US is accelerating, and the US market is embracing PoC as a cost-effective, scalable and flexible alternative to traditional land mobile radio."
Corey Caylor, President of Mobile Tornado USA, added:
"We are excited to introduce our new range of ready-to-use devices, handpicked to meet the specific business needs of the US market. It enables us to offer a fully integrated service to our customers."
Multi-network SIM connectivity addresses coverage challenges
A key element of Mobile Tornado USA's deployment strategy is a partnership with Simplex Wireless for multi-network IoT Data SIM connectivity. Unlike conventional SIM cards tied to a single carrier, Simplex Wireless SIMs provide access to hundreds of networks globally, enabling devices to automatically connect to the strongest available signal in any given location. As users transition between regions or in the event of network disruption, devices switch seamlessly to the best available alternative without user intervention.
The capability is designed to address one of the persistent challenges of PoC deployment across the United States' diverse geographic landscape, where network coverage can vary significantly between urban and rural environments.
Caylor noted: "Speed and reliability are everything for us. We are confident that our devices can automatically find and connect to the strongest available network, no matter where they are deployed. PoC is fast becoming the go-to solution for modern mission-critical communications."
Structured partner support programme
Mobile Tornado USA's channel approach incorporates a structured onboarding programme for authorised partners, encompassing technical training, sales resources and marketing support delivered through a dedicated partner portal. The company also emphasises its ongoing investment in research and development as central to maintaining platform performance and competitiveness.
Mobile Tornado's platform supports advanced push-to-talk instant communication alongside real-time workforce management capabilities, positioning it for deployment in high-stakes operational environments where communication reliability is critical.
