Vertex Standard LMR, Inc., a leading manufacturer of two-way radios, today announced its eVergeEVX-Link IP Connect system that enables radios to communicate in virtually every situation possible.

The company has also released an enhanced version of its eVerge digital series of mobile and portable radios. The products were introduced at the PMR Expo 2015, Cologne, Germany earlier this month.

The small and lightweight EVX-Link system offers the latest evolution in digital technology, providing a solution with greater speed, agility and affordability. The EVX-Link can connect digital mobile radios (DMR) faster and be installed anywhere from a multi-storey building or on a large campus to geographically separate sites. The product is also more cost-effective than traditional systems using Internet Protocol connection and works with any digital mobile radio platform. Users don’t need to replace any existing infrastructure or employ a repeater. EVX-Link offers the ability to have users roam between coverage areas while radios automatically change to the new EVX-Link location.

“The unique features of the EVX-Link system work with either onsite or repeater-based systems – or a mix of both. It’s easy to install, affordable and offers improved coverage by linking up to 32 coverage areas,” said Andre Flasche, Vertex Standard Europe and Africa Distribution Sales Director.

In addition to the EVX-Link, Vertex Standard has updated the EVX-530 and EVX-5300/5400 Series of eVerge digital portable and mobile radios. Improvements include an enhanced display, better message control and privacy, enriched coverage and connection monitoring. Further enhancements include direct mode, transmit interrupt, site roaming, 256 bit advanced encryption standard and dual-tone multi-frequency for digital modes. This functionality is available both in an updated higher-resolution dot matrix display version and on all legacy models.
