First edition of RadioEXPO visited by nearly 260 participants

The event was attended by many representatives of departments concerned with the wider public security, and so the Police, Border Guard and municipal, State Fire Service and emergency medical services

The event was visited by many chiefs and specialists in communications and IT departments but also by directors and IT experts and Telco companies. RadioEXPO conference was for the organizers THE opportunity to launch the first issue of the Radio communication Professional Magazine Radiotech. This is a free bi-monthly magazine designed for experts and professionals radio communication. 

After welcoming the guests Phil Kidner, CEO of the TETRA and Critical Communications Association (TCCA) presented briefly the current position of TETRA PMR market, the number of active terminals worldwide and forecasts for growth in this area. 

Dr. Barbara Held, head of the Federal Agency talked about the needs for Digital Radio Communications for Security Service (BDBOS) - the body responsible for the implementation and management of a German nationwide TETRA network, BOSNet. Dr. Held familiarized listeners with the history of and structure of the BOS network and then went on to discuss the current status of the construction and implementation of the German network and the specificity of its use.

Waldemar Paternoga, deputy director of the Department of Security and Crisis Management in Poznan presented the history, structure and future of the Wielkopolska DMR communications system used by the Provincial Crisis Management Center and State Emergency Medical Services. At the same time Slawomir Frisian, owner of YAGI-Frisian who implemented this system, demonstrated the Aksel CONSEL dispatcher. 

Barry Hack, technical specialist with Aeroflex  drew in his presentation the attention to the difficulties that may be encountered when optimizing the operation of digital radio communications network and explained the methods of dealing with them. Riccardo Manzini, MOTOTRBO product line manager of Motorola Solutions in the region EMEA, presented the MOTOTRBO portfolio of products and solutions. Particular on the new, SL1600.

Also Andrzej Walczyk, technical support engineer sales department NEXRAD Telecom, drew the audience the idea of  MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus, accessibly explaining the principle of operation and the differences between the LCP and the systems IP Site Connect and Capacity Plus, as well as other systems.
