TETRA Operator Entropia Digital to use rendundant fiber

Recently the company has signed an agreement with Hytera to over another 22.000 km2 within Belgium

Over the last 23 years Entropia has invested heavily in radio networks and the company now owns a TETRA network in Belgium and The Netherlands of over 35.000Km2 coverage.

Recently the company has signed an agreement with Hytera to over another 22.000 km2 within Belgium. The Network is based on the TETRA IP technology and is deployed redundant using fiber optics.

Within the Netherlands the network will be extended using Motorola technology. At this moment the so called Randstad area en some larger cities outside the Randstad area are covered, however the intention is to speed up the growth of the network network at the end of 2012 and throughout 2013. The Motorola Dimetra switch will be upgraded from 5.2 to 7.1 and later to a 8.x platform. Because of this, another 28.000km2 will be added to the network.
