The system enables emergency announcements to be broadcast throughout refinery buildings using three distinct alarm levels.

An important Italian company operating in the petrochemical sector has successfully deployed a new emergency alert and communication system designed to enhance safety, coordination, and operational resilience within its refinery operations.

The solution was developed and implemented by Sinora Srl and is built on Motorola Solutions Capacity Max infrastructure. It integrates a large-scale radio and emergency communications environment, comprising approximately 450 Motorola Solutions Tier 3 ATEX DMR radios and 150 fixed emergency telephone stations managed directly within the plant.

The system enables emergency announcements to be broadcast throughout refinery buildings using three distinct alarm levels. These alerts can be escalated according to the severity of an incident, ensuring that information is delivered rapidly, accurately, and to the appropriate areas and personnel. This tiered approach supports faster response times and more effective, targeted interventions during critical situations.

By modernising its internal communications framework, the facility has significantly improved the speed, coordination, and reliability of emergency communications—key requirements in complex, high-risk industrial environments such as petrochemical production.

The project underscores a strong commitment to workplace safety and business continuity, leveraging proven mission-critical technologies to protect both people and infrastructure. The deployment also highlights the growing role of digital radio and integrated alerting systems in meeting stringent industrial safety standards.

The successful implementation was made possible through close collaboration between all parties involved, reinforcing the value of trusted technology partners and well-executed system design in making safety a tangible and operational priority.
