Gilat Satellite Networks to Support U.S. Army with Mission Critical Communications
The award includes a base program of over $7 million.
Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd., a provider of satellite networking technology, solutions, and services, has announced that Gilat DataPath (DataPath Inc.), a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilat Defense, has been awarded a contract to provide field and technical services in support of the U.S. Army through a prime contractor. The program is anticipated to generate a revenue of up to $70 million, with the potential to extend it for up to five years. The award includes a base program of over $7 million.
Gilat DataPath will provide the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Command, Control, and Communications Networks (PEO C3N) with global field and support services under the program that was awarded. The program award is the outcome of a competitive process conducted under the Global Tactical Advanced Communication Systems II (GTACS II) vehicle.
