Handsfree Group are proud to announce their partnership with Advanced Mobile IT (AMIT), leading providers of field and in-vehicle mobile computer solutions in Australia. This collaboration marks the next big step in Handsfree Group’s plan for expansion into the mission critical international market with the Handsfree R5 Fixed Vehicle Device (FVD).

Back in late 2019, Handsfree Group were selected by UK Home Office under its 4G LTE Framework Agreement to deliver fixed vehicle technology and accessories for deployment into the latter’s ambitious Emergency Services Network (ESN). ESN will eventually replace the existing TETRA Airwave system for all police, fire, ambulance and other authorised user groups across the United Kingdom. Working together with strategic partners such as Advantech (hardware) and Pei tel (accessories), Handsfree has designed, developed, and delivered their revolutionary R5 Fixed Vehicle Device.

The Handsfree R5 is the new generation in critical communication technology solutions, GMS approved, it’s designed to enhance the quality and efficiency of communications across all emergency and mission critical services. With PTT, Voice, Data, and Video functionality the complete in-vehicle solution provides greater capability than existing systems, in turn improving response times and response quality for superior public safety.

To kick start the partnership between the two companies, Handsfree Group’s Managing Director Matthew Johnson will be attending Comms Connect Melbourne (on the 18th-20th October 2022). After exhibiting across the United Kingdom, United States, and Europe this will be Handsfree Group’s first time visiting Australia. AMIT’s Regional Sales Director Stephen Mummery and Owner of AMIT Darren Davis will be joining Matthew at the show.

Moving forwards, Advanced Mobile IT will utilise their impressive experience, knowledge, and strong relationships in the market to reach out to the Emergency Services in both Australia and New Zealand to introduce and roll out the Handsfree R5 FVD.
