BK Technologies Corporation (NYSE American: BKTI) announced that it has received a purchase order valued at $1.0 million from the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service (USFS) for its new BKR 5000 portable communications technology. The purchase order is part of the Company’s 5-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, announced in May 2021.

Tim Vitou, President of BK Technologies commented, “The USFS is a longstanding customer and we are pleased to continue our work with them by providing our new BKR 5000 portable communications technology as they transition to new mobile equipment and technology. The effective coordination of wildland fire management requires reliable communications capabilities, particularly as the USFS faces bigger fires for longer periods of time. The BKR 5000 provides accurate and durable communications technology and is also compatible with legacy radios and equipment, as the agency conducts upgrades. We believe this order is an endorsement of the value and consistency or our radios, and we look forward to continuing to expand our relationship with USFS.”
