SEE Secures Communications for Longest Tunnel in South America

The Oriente tunnel in Medellin, Colombia was inaugurated by Colombian President Ivan Duque.

SEE Telecom, a supplier of innovative technologies and solutions for communications providers around the globe, recently contributed to the Oriente tunnel in Medellin, Colombia. With a length of 8.2 km it is the longest tunnel in South America.

As a fast-growing city, Medellin needs more developed rail communicaitons infrastructure to keep up with the pace of times. For that purpose SEE Telecom provided hardware infrastructure for the transmission of emergency communications in the tunnel by proposing a solution that includes the best possible solution in the field of emergency communication for confined spaces.

The tunnel was inaugurated by Colombian President Ivan Duque.
