Both antennas have met the demanding standards required for IP69K certification, making them among the most durable and weather-resistant antenna solutions available on the market.

Sure Antennas, a leading designer and manufacturer of specialist vehicle antenna solutions, has announced the release of two new high-performance products: the ‘Sting’ Antenna (TETRA/UHF & GPS) and the Semi-Covert Shark Fin Antenna (LTE & GPS). Both models have achieved IP69K certification, placing them among the most durable and weather-resistant antennas available for emergency services, commercial fleets, and other demanding applications.

Designed to combine rugged construction, discreet aesthetics, and exceptional signal performance, these antennas deliver reliable connectivity in the harshest environments—all through a single-hole installation.

The ‘Sting’ Antenna (TETRA/UHF & GPS)

The ‘Sting’ Antenna provides simultaneous TETRA or UHF and GPS functionality, supporting a wide range of fleet communication requirements. Offered with FAKRA and FME connector options, it integrates seamlessly into existing vehicle communication systems.

Its flexible whip design accommodates taller vehicles and reduces the risk of damage in operational use, enhancing long-term durability. The ‘Sting’ is particularly suited for emergency service vehicles requiring robust TETRA and GPS coverage, as well as commercial transport fleets seeking dependable UHF and GPS performance.

The Semi-Covert Shark Fin Antenna (LTE & GPS)

Featuring LTE and GPS capabilities in a low-profile, aerodynamic shark fin housing, the Semi-Covert Shark Fin Antenna is ideal for both marked and unmarked vehicles, especially within the blue light sector where discretion is critical.

Its compact, adaptable design makes it equally effective in commercial applications such as delivery vehicles and public transport. Simple to install and compatible with a wide range of telematics platforms, the Semi-Covert Shark Fin offers consistent, high-quality performance even in adverse weather conditions.

Built to Last: IP69K Certification

Tested and certified under IEC 60529 and ISO 20653 standards, both antennas meet the IP69K rating—providing maximum protection against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets from any angle. This ensures operational reliability in extreme weather and challenging environments, where equipment failure is not an option.

Showcasing Innovation at CCW 2025

During the recent Critical Communications World (CCW) 2025 event in Brussels, Sure Antennas highlighted another unique innovation—their TETRA/LTE/Wi-Fi motorcycle antenna. This specialised solution drew strong interest from public safety and critical communications professionals attending the exhibition.

At the event, Laurence Culloty, representing Sure Antennas, was interviewed by Gert Jan Wolf, Editor-in-Chief of The Critical Communications Review. The interview, which provides insight into Sure Antennas’ product vision and technology roadmap, is available to view online at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pim1ovUJAy8.

“These new antennas embody Sure Antennas’ commitment to innovation, quality, and performance,” said LaurenceCulloty, Associate Director at Sure Antennas. “They deliver the durability and connectivity our customers demand, while offering installation flexibility and discreet integration into any fleet.”
