FIT, a nonprofit frequency coordination association serving the land mobile communications community, has announced the composition of its Board of Directors following its annual meeting held in Las Vegas on 20 March 2026.

Mark J. Abrams of Mobile Relay Associates has been elected to serve as Board President, with Kathryn Van Natta of Roman V Ranch, LLC taking the position of Vice President.

The full Board includes Kevin McCarthy, K.C. Van Natta of Van Natta Bros, Frank Nalty of F.M. Nalty Timberlands LLC, Darwin Breland of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, and Kara Curtis of L3Harris.

The Board brings together a broad cross-section of expertise spanning the land mobile radio and industrial sectors — a composition that reflects FIT's continued commitment to technical excellence, spectrum efficiency and responsive service to its member and applicant base.

Abrams commented on his appointment:

"FIT continues to play a critical role in ensuring reliable and efficient spectrum access for industries that depend on land mobile communications on a daily basis. I'm honoured to serve alongside such an experienced and dedicated Board as we build on FIT's legacy and prepare for the future."

As an FCC-certified frequency coordinator operating under Part 90 of the FCC rules, FIT supports a wide range of industries by facilitating spectrum access and promoting the efficient use of radio frequencies. The organisation has served as a trusted partner to the land mobile community for decades and remains focused on adapting to evolving technologies and regulatory requirements.

Looking ahead, FIT will mark its 80th anniversary in 2027 — a significant milestone representing eight decades of service to the communications industry. The organisation has indicated it will commemorate the occasion while continuing to advance its core mission of enabling reliable, interference-free communications across the United States.
