PCTEL Announces SeeHawk ® Scout Tactical Signal Intelligence Platform and Base Station Locating Solutions at MWC Barcelona

Curated by: Gert Jan Wolf - Editor-in Chief for The Critical Communications Review

PCTEL has unveiled two new products targeting mission-critical RF intelligence and spectrum monitoring. The SeeHawk Scout is a portable, autonomous tactical signal intelligence platform that combines Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology, I/Q streaming, and AI-based signal classification through an integration with DeepSig's OmniSIG® software. It supports real-time detection, identification, and monitoring of RF signals across a frequency range of up to 48 GHz, covering 2G through 5G cellular technologies.

The second product, Base Station Location Estimation, simplifies the detection of cellular base stations — including rogue or unknown ones. It is available either as a software option for SeeHawk Scout or as a standalone addition to PCTEL's SeeHawk Collect network testing software.

Together, the solutions address interference detection and spectrum management across public safety, defense, critical infrastructure, and commercial cellular environments. Both products will be demonstrated at MWC Barcelona, Hall 2, Stand 2F40, from March 2–5, 2026.
