Eemits Transforms Two-Way Radio Communication for Rockliffe Hall’s Multi-Million Pound Renovation

To aid their resort renovation, Rockliffe Hall partnered with Eemits Communications to transform their radio system and provide reliable two-way radio communications and coverage across the site. 

Named as one of La Liste's Top 1000 Hotels in the World, Rockliffe Hall is one of the finest 5-star hotels in County Durham,UK with spa, hotel, dining, and championship golf course. April 2025 marked the start of Rockcliffe Hall’s significant renovation plans, to turn the resort into a world-class, gastronomy-focused destination in the North East of England.

To aid this transformation, Rockliffe Hall reached out to Middlesbrough-based two-way radio supplier Eemits Communications for support and recommendations on achieving effective site-wide two-way communication. 

Eemits solved communication challenges with new two-way radio systems that accommodated cross-team communication where old systems did not. Efficient coverage was made possible across the 375 acre site, indoors and outdoors, as well as in poor coverage areas such as the resort’s underground facilities. 

A variety of two-way radios were supplied including lightweight, easy-to-use you-way radios for spa staff and more robust, feature-rich two-way radios for other areas of the resort. Eemits Communications supplied two-way radios from leading manufacturer, Motorola, to achieve the best possible coverage on site, and for use across a long-term basis:

Rockliffe Hall’s multi-million pound renovation project includes a new standalone restaurant led by Culinary Director James Close, and the restoration of the Grade II listed Old Hall. Completion for the renovation and restaurant is due for the second quarter of 2026.
